Costa Adeje Gran Hotel Rooms
The Costa Adeje Gran Hotel is an absolutely mammoth hotel, featuring over 400 guest rooms. All rooms sport beautifully tiled floors, cable or satellite television, high speed internet access, mini bars and much more. The bathrooms are beautifully appointed and include marble counter tops, full sized baths, massage style shower heads as well as bathrobes and slippers. Rooms tend to be on the large side, and many come with a separate sitting area and desk. All rooms are reasonably new thanks to the fact that this property did not open until 2001.Costa Adeje Gran Hotel Restaurants & Bars
Surprisingly the hotel only really has one major restaurant and one pool side dining option. For that reason, almost everyone takes advantage of the complementary breakfast buffet each morning. Restaurant La Laja is a beautiful, pool side restaurant that offers amazing views of the sea and of the entire resort. The food is typically Mediterranean inspired and is almost always excellent. The dress here is formal, so don’t try to come in shorts and flip flops. If you are planning on eating here during a busy period, it is recommended that you make a reservation. Finally, El Puente also overlooks the pool and specializes in delicious tropical drinks and appetizer-sized meals.Costa Adeje Gran Hotel Facilities
This is a fantastic hotel to choose from if you want on-site amenities. It is one of the few resorts to have on site golf, as well as a driving range. Every sea sport you could ever want is here, including motor boating, fishing, snorkeling, and much more. There are several pools as well as a full service spa if you need to relax.Arriving at the main entrance you are confronted with a truly spacious impressive entrance hall with waterfalls, elevated lounge areas, an aviary, a large lounge bar, shops, internet room and reception. The reception staff greet you with a smile and efficiently provide you with a hotel brochure giving details of its services, your dining card, your free towel card and your electronic room key. This floor is known as ?2 because all the restaurants, swimming pools and accommodation rooms are situated above the entrance hall. Two lifts on either side of the entrance hall quickly take you to one of seven floors. To the side and rear of the hotel is a children?s play area with sandpit, a boules area in soft sand, a mini golf, and tennis/basketball courts. The rooftop terrace has swimming pools, two nudist areas, comfortable timber sun loungers, a summer bar and vending machines. The main central area landscaped with palms has three swimming pools surrounded by sun loungers with sunshades, a fruit juice bar, a snack pool bar with a ?happy two hours? serving drinks at half price before the buffet style restaurant La Finca opens at 6.30pm. The spacious restaurant features international theme dinners with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, children?s menu and desserts. The efficient friendly staff were always on hand to provide beverages, clear and relay tables. There were many annexes to the restaurant, so as tables became filled, these areas were opened. Breakfast was served from 7.00am till 10.00am good for those leaving on an early flight and for the late risers. There is also an a la carte restaurant La Laja where you can dine at a supplement. The spacious bedrooms are very well appointed with either twin beds or a double. A settee and easy chair, knee hole desk, TV with multiple channels including BBC news and a ?pay per view? film channel, twin wardrobes with automatic lighting and an efficient three speed air conditioning controller. The ensuite bathroom has twin washbasins, a bath with shower and a separate room housing the toilet and bidet. Hot water was plentiful at all times of the day being provided from the multiple rooftop solar panels. Each room has a balcony with a table and two chairs. Chambermaid service each day with cleaning, bed making and fresh hand towels. The bed linen was changed every fourth day. Taking a stroll around the hotel adjacent to the bedrooms you soon discover just how much thought has been put into making this hotel a place of beauty. The areas sport a variety of green vegetation in raised beds fed by an irrigation system. Fronds and palms surround the stairs and open-air lift shafts, this gives you the impression that you are living in a garden within a hotel. Stayed in this hotel for more than two weeks with a disabled friend who used an electric scooter to get about. Facilities abound for the disabled with dedicated rooms and ramps everywhere. After speaking with many people at this hotel I discovered that they return here year after year and I can see why. There was nothing about this hotel that displeased me, it really does live up to its name of Gran and truly deserves its five star award. For sure I shall return here because it offers comfort, friendly service and is in a very quiet central location.
Had a great stay in this hotel. Loved the food, loved the pool, loved the location and loved the look of the hotel. Top place to stay in a great location.
