Las Aguilas Jungle Park Overview

You want animals? Wild ones? And lots of them? Head to the hills above Los Cristianos to the fabulous Aguilas Jungle Park where over 600 animals are waiting to amaze, scare and entertain you.
At €24 for adults and €17 for kids, it's not cheap, but it is a great full day out with shows restaurants and rides to keep the ankle biters distracted when they're bored of teasing the lions.
A free shuttle bus whisks you to the Jungle from various points in Las Americas and Los Cristianos (see their website) five times daily.
TIP: Make sure you don't miss the thrice daily birds of prey shows.

    Go with an enquiring mind

    Lauran Warren from Leeds

I have been here 3 times now, each time I have noticed the enclosures getting dirtier...that said, I really do think the vultures, cranes, hornbills and birds of prey at this zoo have a better deal than anywhere else, as they get free flight several times daily. My main complaint would be the size of the enclosures for the big cats...tiny. It's as though they were put in as an afterthought, with very little enrichment provided. Perhaps they were, but it's about time they invested some money on getting these up to scratch. At least they haven't yet gone down the Loro Parque route yet, e.g. building a childs roller coaster ride through the shy and solitary Jaguar's enclosure. I always believed Loro Parque to be one of the best zoo's around but it really dissapointed me because of this, and also because they keep marine mammals captive for our entertainment....Orca's and Bottlenose Dolphins are not critically endangered, so are of no use in a captive breeding situation. I do find animals doing tricks quite humiliating, for us and them. Visit both parks, as I still feel they are much better from a welfare point of view than most British zoo's, but be aware of what you are looking at. Zoo's should be educational and have the interests of the animals at the forefront. If they do not offer either, report matters to the zoo and, if no satisfactory reply is received, to an organisation such as The Captive Animal Protection Society or Born Free.

    Expensive

    John Mc Gowan from Stirling,Scotland

Our visit to Jungle Park was spoiled by the rip off price we paid for 2 soft drink's. Over 6 euro's.When we looked at the price list for snack's, we declined. Apart from that the animals were fantastic

    The Kids Loved It

    Emily Wilson from Cardiff

Stayed in Tenerife for a week and tried out lots of things, but for the Kids the Jungle Park was there favourite. It is a little on the expensive side, but well worth the money if you ask me.
